The Mid-Jordan TRAX branch curves away from the TRAX mainstem at Midvale and proceeds west to this location. The branch is utilizing the right-of-way of the old D&RGW Magna branch. The old track structure is being used to bring in supplies including welded rail from UTA's welding facility in North Salt Lake. Double bridge structures are replacing the old line's single structures. Any of the old single bridges which have timbers are being replaced with steel. The bridges below are not far from where the branch splits off at Midvale. We are looking north. The new steel and cement structure is at left, and the old timber structure is at right. Next
